“In Calabria, halfway between the Serre Calabresi mountains and the Ionian Sea, among olive groves and vineyards, there is a tiny village.” With this imaginative opening, TV2000’s programme ‘Di Buon Mattino’ dedicated to the Autonomous Agricultural Outpost begins. Live from the television studios in Rome, Sofia and Raffaele spoke about rural life not as something relegated to the past, to hardship and misery, but describing it as a space for the future. Images of the Avamposto’s many adventures flashed across the screen as they spoke live on national television, and many friends from afar subsequently contacted the Avamposto for more information.
