The crew of Rai 1’s ‘Camper in Viaggio’ visited Santa Caterina dello Ionio to learn about the donkeys of the Avamposto in 2023. For a week, the programme focused on the inland and coastal areas of the lower Ionian coast of Catanzaro. Other towns and organisations belonging to the WE’RE SOUTH network also featured in the programme. Thanks to these RAI recordings, it was possible to promote slow and sustainable tourism, in contrast to the more mainstream consumerist tourism offered in the region.
